Solvit India
A corporate website for Solvit, a logistics company headquartered at Nariman Point, Mumbai. The single-page site presents ocean, air, rail and surface freight with customs clearance, and keeps phone, email and an enquiry form within easy reach on every screen.
The client
Solvit is a logistics company headquartered at Nariman Point in Mumbai. On its own site it describes itself as an association of second-generation business people who want to make an impact on global logistics, working under the line "Live Borderless". Its customers are businesses that move goods in and out of India and need one partner to plan, track and coordinate that movement.
The services Solvit offers are broad: ocean freight, including full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) shipments, air freight for urgent and time-critical cargo, rail freight, surface transportation and customs clearance.
The brief
A logistics company like Solvit is judged quickly. A procurement manager or exporter visiting the site wants to know three things: does this company handle my kind of shipment, does it look established, and how do I reach a person. The website therefore needed to:
- Look credible and international from the first screen
- Explain each freight mode in plain language, without burying visitors in jargon
- Put phone numbers, email and office hours in front of visitors at all times
- Work well on a phone, because many enquiries start on one
What we built
We built Solvit a focused, single-page corporate website. Instead of spreading thin content across many pages, the site moves visitors through a clear sequence of sections, and the main navigation (Home, About Us, Services, Contact Us) scrolls to each one.
- A full-width hero slider built around the brand message, "Your shipping needs, our solution", with photography of ships and trucks
- An about section that tells the Solvit story and explains its approach to supply-chain work
- A services section covering ocean freight, air freight, rail freight, surface transportation and customs clearance, each with its own short explanation
- A "Why choose us" section setting out how the company works: speed and reliability, tailor-made services and attention to quality
- An enquiry form under the heading "Feel free to contact us!", so a visitor can send a question without leaving the page
- A persistent top bar with both phone numbers, the email address, office hours (Monday to Saturday) and links to Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn
- A footer repeating the company summary, contact details and the Nariman Point office address
Design and build choices
A single-page layout suits a services business with a clear, stable offer. Visitors do not have to hunt through menus, and every section ends close to a way of getting in touch.
The look draws a warm gold accent from the Solvit logo and sets it against full-bleed photography of vessels and road freight. That keeps the site confident without feeling cold or overly corporate.
The build is fully responsive. The slider, service blocks and form reflow for phones and tablets, and the phone numbers are tap-to-call links, so a visitor on a mobile can ring the office straight from the page.
The technology
The site is built in PHP as a lightweight, responsive build. There is no heavy framework to update, which keeps it quick to load and simple to look after. We continue to host and maintain the site.
Services involved
This project drew on our website design and development work for the design and build, and our hosting and maintenance service for keeping the site online, backed up and up to date.
